Poured hazy gold. Aroma was nice floral and apple with earthy maltiness and an herbal tone.
Flavour was a bit more bitter than the saisons I’m used to. Still quite refreshing and ddrinkable. Fruitiness over earthy malt, lower yeast tones and a dry finish.
Very tasty. CharlesDarwin (1849), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA

Aroma gives a pugnent kick of apple flesh and birch bark, spring-like and blossomy. Lots of tulip bulbs and fresh grass. A touch rubbery. Pours a lightly hazed golden, with minimal white head. Flavor starts off a bit brash, with a slightly overbearing Brett C note. Then into glowing fresh hops, some apple cider sugar and a long wash of pear and peach. The saison yeast character seems really dampened and minimal. I miss the spice and the mineral quality, instead I get a kind of biting bitterness and some rubbery Brett C. I’m trying to like this, but for some reason it’s just not working with my palate right now. blutt59 (2147), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 24, 2009 Sample at the Bruery. Yellow color. Nice and easy to drink. Listed as a Saison, but I like it better than most saisons, because the huge yeasty banana aroma is subdued...possibly because of a lower brewing temperature. Some orange peel or corriander spice perhaps. Dryish. Very good. Me starting to like Bruery. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA

Flavor has a slight sour/funkiness matched well with some spice, fruit, and yeast. Nice saison that I’m looking forward to having again.
