| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Pours a hazy amber color with a large off-white head. Minty spice aroma with a light malt base. The flavor had notes of toasted malt and some spice. A dry rye spice to it on the finish. Light-medium bodied. CaptainCougar (5521), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 28, 2009 Pours a highly carbonated hazy orange with a foamy head that fills about 3/4 of the glass upon the initial pour. After settling for 10 minutes, leaving clumpy lacing, it gives off a sweet, doughy, hay and caramel nose with some grapefruity hop notes. Body has a touch of leathery funk atop lots of underlying caramely malts and some bready Belgian yeast with a touch of citrusy tartness toward an effervescent slightly warming finish. Pretty true to style and enjoyable. ryanknock (150), San Francisco, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 19/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Refreshing, bitter and slightly sour and spicy ale. Nose of spices, coriander, apples, pears, slight sour and farmhouse quality. Medium mouthfeel, large carbonation with a slight lactic quality. Additional wheat, biscut, caramel, rye, pepper and bannana in the flavor. Lengthy, slightly tart and bitter finish. Rastacouere (5561), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 24, 2009 This is one hard to pour beer, producing an enormous fluffly white head. Appealing dark cloudy shade. Seducing, albeit original and different cerealic aromas with unusual rye notes for a saison. Soft floral and earthy hops have a distinct English feel to them. Cracker-like, but a refreshing cracker at that. Authentic very big and active bubbles maintain a more than healthy foam. Wild and constant, also authentic, yeastiness. A lovely introduction to this new brewery whose new products we’ll certainly want to look forward to. bhensonb (4358), Woodland, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 20, 2009 Bottle from South Bay Drug (though I have a spare from Bottle Barn). Orange gold color with a large whitish head. Aroma is spicey over fruit and light malt. Medium body with vigorous carbonation. The brett funk is up front. Next is like sucking peach pits. Lots of sharpish spice. Puckers my mouth - i.e. astringent. Finish is mildly sweet, fruity, funky. It’s the cleanest funk (?) I can recall. The rye finally comes center stage. It’s genuinely mouthsmacking. Perhaps the best Bruery I’ve had so far. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

There was an off white head on top. The aroma was spicy cinnamon with some herbs and bread crust. The taste was rich pancakes. The finish was sweet with peaches and nutmeg spice. Nice.
