Hazy amber color with a large white head that retains very well and leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Really earthy aroma with some funk to it, not a strong funk like you might expect in a beer with Brett, but more of a musty kind of way. Hay, cracked pepper, and some ginger also come into play in the aroma; I love Saisons like this. Taste almost has a rye bread taste at the beginning. I get the same musty hay in the taste, then some pepper and other spices, before a strong earthy taste sets in. Lingering earthy, dry finish, carbonation is high. Very well made Saison, I*d love to drink this again.

Bottle, drank on christmas. Nice pour, huge head, like the best Belgians. Horsey, rich, nice fruity esters, a touch salty maybe. Great spices and Belgian yeast character. An extremely solid saison, one of the best American interpretations Ive had.

750 ml bottle The beer pours a hazy red/orange color with a stiff and fluffy white head and soild sticky lacing. There are notes of citrus, spice and sweet malt in the nose. Spices, malt and earthy hops are noted in the flavor. It is well balanced between the malt and hop bitterness. Not too spicy either. Nice chewy mouthfeel with a medium body. Very drinkable and well made beer.

At the zapit tasting thanks to lithy. Pours a hazy gold with good white head. lemony citrus aroma with some light farmhouse qualities. Musty citric flavors that I typically pick up on saisons. Highly carbonated. not really my style. However, shortly after popping this bottle, Steveos wife dropped her glasses into a spittoon. That would have been funny enough, but to alert us to her situation, she exclaimed *my eyes are in the bucket of shit*

Bottle shared by lithy. Poured a hazy pale with an off-white head that is lasting and left light lace. Aromas of spices and malt with hints of earthiness. Sweet flavor of malts and spice. Slight citrus background. Medium body.

Hazy orange colored with a huge white head. Aroma is rye, spice, and biscuit. flavor comes through with plenty of rye and a dry, spicy hoppiness. A bit of cheesy yeast and some apple and pear are lingering in the background as well. This beast was way over carbonated but swirling it around in a glass for awhile got it down to something drinkable. Very nice.

Pours a lovely cloudy yellow with huge white head. Balanced not sweet or too bitter, and on the tad dry side. Masterful, with spiciness that comes on boldly after initial creamy mouthfeel.
