Congrats to Patrick!
For those of us behind the Orange Curtain, it’s great to see a new brewery.
This saison pour hazy apricot in color with a huge, rocky white head. Very very tasty with a nice aroma. Lots of complex flavors. I’ll be buying this one again.
bu11zeye (3780), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 4, 2008 (750ml bottle) Pours a hazy orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus, clove, ginger, and pepper. Flavor of florals, pepper, coriander, and orange with a dry finish. The brett characteristics are not evident at this time. Maria (4361), Thisted, Denmark Oct 1, 2008 TFODRBSG08 Courtesy of Papsoe. The color is hazy-golden and the head is creamy. The aroma has sweetness and notes of fruit, malt and yeast. The flavour has sweetness and a light sourness, that is far from brett-extreme. It has notes of yeast, fruit and malt. Dickinsonbeer (2550), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Sep 30, 2008 Pours a nice coppery golden with a fluffy large bubbly off whtie head - some lace. Aroma is nice earthiness, saison-like with some toasty and earthy herbal hints from the malts and rye, light dust and some lemony citrus character- brett is still very faint. Flavor has a bit of earthy funk but not the full on brett yet, ligth citrus, good spicy saison yeasty kick and a nice dry finish. Solid saison now- but could be real kickass in another year in the bottle. thenick (583), North Bellmore, New York, USA Sep 29, 2008 Sample @ BBF ’08, Boston. Pours a hazy orange with a white head that has some staying power. The aroma is funky with earth and spice notes detectable. Taste is the same, with the beer remaining drinkable despite the heavy, heavy carbonation. I think I like these guys, and I think this is quite a nice saison. Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with incrdeible carbonation and a head that keeps growing,. The head almost never leaves. I learned my lesson following the initial pour. Nose is funky, barnyard. Somewhat more viscous than other saisons and the yeast is all over the place. Spiced bread tones and not overly dry, but more full-bodied. This was nice, not great, and fairly expensive for what it was.
