| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 27, 2008 Hazy amber color with a large white head that retains very well and leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Really earthy aroma with some funk to it, not a strong funk like you might expect in a beer with Brett, but more of a musty kind of way. Hay, cracked pepper, and some ginger also come into play in the aroma; I love Saisons like this. Taste almost has a rye bread taste at the beginning. I get the same musty hay in the taste, then some pepper and other spices, before a strong earthy taste sets in. Lingering earthy, dry finish, carbonation is high. Very well made Saison, I*d love to drink this again.

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 4, 2009 Hazy orange, thick sea foam white head. Rustic lemon meringue aromas swirl on undercurrents of funked ginger pears and peppery apricots throughout. Well balanced with textured fruity peppered rye-like tones and hints of yeast over a light dry hoppy funked finish. Medium to full bodied with zesty carbonation. An absolute winner in my book… bgburdman9 (823), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 30, 2009 This stuff just got to ohio today. I am glad I chose this one over the autumn maple. Pours a reddish light cloudy brown with some rusty hues to it. The head on this is awesome. Never poured that big at all but it stuff around the entire beer and when the glass was swirled the creamy head grew in size. The rye comes through some in the aroma. There is some spiciness and a light funk that comes through. Not overly bretty though. Flavor had a nice bitterness to it and was very smooth drinking. There was some sweetness left in this one though even with the brett. The palate on this was one of the best i have felt too. Creamy and some sweetness which was weird for a saison but it still felt right for the beer. Well done. Cant wait to try the other bruery stuff. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of brett, vanilla, leather, citrus fruits, yeast, orange spices, and floral hops. Taste of citrus fruits, honey, lemon peel, spices, and a bready dry finish with the alcohol never being noticed. Juelze (904), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 18, 2009 Pous a hazy cloudy light golden color with medium thick white head. Aroma is of light citrus notes, slight musty yeasty, and light malt character. Taste is light citrus, light barnyard funk, some musty yeast, and light notes of light malt. Finish is pretty well carbonated with the effervescence being ever so bubbly. Finishes sweet with a funky finish showcasing the brett. First The Bruery beer and definitely love it!
