| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Orange amber pour with some yeast sediment and a big, fluffy, white head. Aroma is strong with rye, lemon, orange, dough, clove, ginger, and a bit of bretty funk. Flavor holds lots of orange and lemon, along with more spice and yeast notes. Palate is nice; carbonation is evident, but doesn’t do more than gently massage the tongue. Body is full but not thick, quite drinkable overall. Quite a nice saison.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 18, 2009 I’m divided about this beer. On the one hand, I do like it, but on the other hand, it really does smell like a dirty men’s room . . . some of the time. The rest of the time it smells a little funky, hoppy, nutty, sour. Sweet flavors (but not much actual sweetness) give way to a very bitter, dry end. A little funky, nutty, a little sour (but not too much - and more regular sour than funky sour). It’s hard to drink too much at once because of the almost astringent end.- it might be better with food. But the beer is complex and nice - just sometimes you gotta remember to not breathe in. probstk (1060), Nepean, Ontario, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Pours hazy hazy apricot orange, creamy beige head. A legitimately wild aroma. Slightly moldy wet autumn leaves. Not since Saison de Pipaix have I found one that I thought smelled like it was made in a barn. Not strictly offensive but it manages to pique my curiosity to better learn all the different kinds of infections out there. Medium bodied, quite creamy texture. More on the sweet side, like jelly beans and meringue. I would prefer it to be less strong so it might be more drinkable. But really, it’s quite interesting, although I can’t say it’s really hitting the spot for me. blipp (1685), Newark, New Jersey, USA
