Bottle thanks to Ryan. Very cloudy orange golden pour with tons of head up front that disappears pretty quickly. Lovely apple cider vinegar on the nose with orange peel, coriander, nutmeg, and pumpkin as well. Similar on the palate, but very bitter rye as well. More pumpkin, too, which was surprising. Overly carbonated despite the disappearing head. A bit alcoholic.

This saison pours a medium orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. A very large sized white foamy head, with long lasting retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet, yeasty and peppery. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet with a lot of caramel. A whole bunch or orange oil and peach flavors as well. The hops are spicy and floral. Lots of different flavors here, orange blossom, pepper, coriander, some brett and funk as well. Think this bottle needed a little more cellar aging as it was a huge gusher and the bretts are mostly in the background. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Touch of alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. The finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a smallish off white head. Aroma is of Spice, orange, caramel, fruit and a touch sweet. Flavor is of malt, spice, pepper, honey, bread, yeast. slightly sour in the finish. I wanted to really like this beer but it falls under just ok, nothing special.

Bottle @ TFODRBSG, Ulfborg, 2008.
[thank you, papsoe]
Pours hazy golden with a small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, lightly spicy with oranges, cloves and a caramel edge to it. Fine mouthfeel with a grainy edge - could perhaps do with some more fluffyness, like many other saisons. Flavour is great, though. Very nice malty balance, some fruity tartness, and a great balance of pepper and other spices. Some caramel and rye bread play along as well. Not a touch on the Jandrain we had earlier, but still wonderful.

Bottle. Amber beer with a nice cream colored head. Spicey aroma with light citrus, and hay. Spice, lightly tart flavor with yaest, malt, and caramel. Medium body. Malt, spice, and light tartness linger. Very nice, refreshing, and well balanced. Good brett/rye combination.
