I LOVED this beer. This is the first beer in a LONG time that I am going back to get more bottles of. Laying on the couch half asleep when a snifter of this found its way into my hand. Whats this? Why, it just might be a praline in a glass. Wonderful aroma of roasted and sugared nuts. Flavor was carmalized pecans. A little bit of wood, and just enough tartness to keep it all interesting. A hint of bitterness in chocolate, and you have one delightful glass. This is a delightful brew for me and RIGHT up my alley.

Pours black with a tall tan head that lingers. Excellent lacing with aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, alcohol, and nuts. Flavor of roasted malts, nuts, and chocolate with a slightly hot edge.

750mL bottle, purchased at Bottle Barn. Pours a dark, dense chocolate-brown color; medium-brown head with solid, fine-bubbled lacing. Solid amounts of cocoa, nougat, and roasted malts in the aroma; there’s some oily nuttiness present as well: this smells like it could just as easily be a 6% dry stout aside from the slight oiliness and hint of alcohol; well-roasted but not overly dense. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: loads of dense cocoa, milk chocolate, and oily nuts; while there’s plenty of residual sugar here, this doesn’t feel overly sticky: light carbonation (very light), smooth presence in the mouth: oily, nutty, chocolate-laden Belgian strong ale; the Belgian characteristics don’t exactly shine through here, overstepped by the aforementioned; pleasant, oily, drinkable beer with reasonably well-hidden alcohol; this isn’t nearly the sugary mess I expected it to be; much better-ish attenuated and much less sticky. Lasting finish of oily nuttiness, milk chocolate; lingering sweetness and oils.

Bottle picked up at stateline. I was kind of excited to see this beer here in Maryland, so far I have enjoyed The Bruery line up. Poured into a wine glass, decent head. Black in color. Strong aroma of alcohol but what can you expect from a beer that > 12%. Taste is chocolate, roasted malts, alcohol and some nuttiness. Its blended together quite well. Easy to drink. Overall a nice beer but nothing mind blowing.

on tap at the Haven in Orange CA. Very nice nutty initial taste. Some chocolate comes through in the initial sip but then mellows into some roasted malt, chocolate with a hint of nut in the aftertaste. Very good

Not a fan, little too sour IMO and flavors of plums and figs not strong enough upfront to be a holiday beer. Won’t be getting again.

Xtreme Xmas at RnH. Bright and sour nose of pecan and Belgian spice. Sour and tangy lemon, malt and cherry notes. Slightly boozy.
