Very clear brown pour with a medium yellow head. Taste is fairly strong with cherry and banana. Nothing much is left on the palate. Somewhat distinctive. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 23, 2007 Picked up a bottle from Chips in OBX. Great amber almost pink color. Certainly a strange amber for me and I can’t put a finger on why. I think it was the nutty malts that let me down. The hop aroma was flowery but it didn’t make up for the rest. Duck-Rabbit is much better at the darker selections. badbeer (433), Iowa, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 18, 2007 Amber color with an off-white head that doesn’t retain very well and leaves very little lacing. Smell is of dark fruits, caramel, and toffee. Taste begins with a roasted nut flavor that leads to a cherry flavor and a toffee-like finish. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. Finishes up to be an OK beer, but I can’t see myself seeking this one out much.

Can’t wait to get to the next beer!!! HighlanderOne (546), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 11, 2007 Poured from bottle. Nice, sweet malt aroma. Dark amber with very rugged tan head. Odd, kinda herbal aspect to the flavor along with the malt. Also a burnt wood character in there. Watery feel to it as well. Subtle malt aftertaste to it. Finished better than it started. A strange, but good choice. Skyview (4087), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 1, 2007 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle via trade with Frumpy. This is the lightest of the dark Duck-Rabbit beers. Pours a clear caramel amber brew with a thick off-white head that dissolves to a ring with good lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, sweet apple/pear combo fruit with some flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of sweet pears, caramel malt with a dry bitter finish. After taste is pleseant with a dry nutty malt flavor. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 30, 2007 Bottle Dark amber copper pour with good sized big bubbled head. A bit of apple and hop in the aroma. Same with flavor with a higher concentration of apple and some nut. Decent session, but it’s still lacking.
