The aroma is lightly fruity, caramel, toffee, and nuts. The flavor is fruity with berries, caramel, nuts, and a mild hoppy/nutty finish. An OK amber, kind of watery, but with a nice finish. corby112 (768), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a dark copper/amber color with golden orange hues when held to a light source and a thick frothy two finger head that immediately fades into a lasting ring, leaving sporadic splotches of off white soapy lacing.
Caramel malt aroma which is pretty sweet smelling with hints of hazelnut, biscuit, cinnamon spice and subtle hops.
Slightly flat earthy mouthfeel with very earthy hop forward presence. Caramel malt back bone with subtle brown sugar/cinnamon spice and a dry hop finish. Kind of a bland session beer with a earthy(literally dirt) flavor that’s kind of off putting. I’d like to try this one again, possibly on tap or another bottle. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 4, 2009 Amber red color with spotty bubbly white head that seems to list from side to side on top of the beer. A good deep whiff returns smells like cherries, sweet syrup, fruits, but they are subtle. A very good flavor for an amber/red but not quite up there with Nugget Nectar (my favorite). I would drink this on a regular basis if it were possible. I think Duck-Rabbit does a really good job on all their beers. Yum.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2009 12 oz bottle pours an amber brown with a tan head that fades. Nose is not as malty as most ambers are but mostly red fruit and citrus. Similar flavors that tend towards the cherry and fruit more than the citrus with a slight infected sourness. Some lightly bitter citrus hops in the finish. Ok, but the sourness in the aroma and flavor was odd and unwelcomed for the style. At least it wasn’t as infected as their porter I had yesterday.
