Malty ,minty aroma, with a touch of band aid, carbonation was intense, huge frothy head, taste that reminded me of root beer extract, harsh bittering hop finish , liked the stouts better

Bottle. Pours amber/copper with a large beige head. The aroma is very yeasty, lots of caramel as well. Flavor is almost like spicy, fruity, sweet malty caramel. Hmm, not too bad I guess, but I’m just not really digging it either.

Massive creamy light tan head atop a clear dark amber almost ruby pour. Nice lacing. Toasty, nutty, malty aroma. Mildly cask conditioned mouth feel. Malty nutty taste with a tangy bitter afterbite. Another fine brew from the folks at Duck Rabbit (rapidly becoming one of my favorite breweries).

Bottle. Bready malts in the nose with caramel and light ambiguous fruitiness. Clear amber pour with a fizzy eggshell head. Kind of simplistic sugary sweetness. Watery caramel, very light dry bitterness, light hops and tea leaves. Light prickly spiciness. Aftertaste of tea. Non-offensive, but not unpleasant.

Bottle coutresy of ross. Pours reddish copper with a creamy tan head. Smells of sweet malt, yogurt, cherries and some citrussy hops. Taste is earthy with lots of spicy elements. Metallic undertones creep in as the beer warms. Mouthfeel is full and peppery. Finish is doughy with some sweet maltiness thrown in.

Bottle. Attractive copper-ruby hue that is perhaps diminished slightly by a somewhat soapy head. Malty, earthly nose. Good malt favlor throughout with just a touch of bitterness. Unusually thick body for an amber that reminds me of Rogue’s Brutal Bitter. A well rounded amber - Duck-Rabbit rules.

GABF 2006. Deep amber to near brown in color. Nose is malt, caramel, and light floral hops. Taste is maltier than the aroma. Less hops, some tea leaves, flowery hints. Body is medium. Lighter carbonation. Finishes with light floral hops, caramel, and tea leaves.

From bottle. Pours a reddish-brown with coffee tan head. Nose of sweet malt and flowery. Flavor follows. Simple, but pretty good.
