The aroma is sweet, smells of caramel and spice. The flavor is sharp, harsh, and spicy. The palate is sharp and crisp. The finish is spicy. Overall, harsher than i’d like. Aromas of toasted malts, some bread, and light hops. Flavor is toasted malts, caramel, yeast, and slight bitterness from the hops at the finish. Medium body and pretty fair amount of carbonation. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Sticky, sweet, band-aid-like aroma. It is slighlty nutty, not so sweet in flavor. It is strikingly out of balance, malty, yet dry and slightly bitter. hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 26, 2006 Light aromas of some kind of roasted malts with some dough like hints as well. The flavour feels burnt and kind of twangy. I feel like I’ve had two similarly bad tastign ambers, have I lost a taste for this style?
