Commercial Description:
The Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter is deep, rich and velvety soft. A full blooded roasty character is balanced by complex alcohol notes. Strong (9% alcohol by volume) yet unfailingly subtle, this special brew warrants sipping and savoring.

Pour is a viscous black color with a brown head. Aroma of tart cherries with a ton of chocolate and malt. Flavors are bold and unrelenting with chocolate and a fruity tartness dominating. Very good and very drinkable.

Jun 2007 Bottle thanks to xnoxhatex! Pours a lovely uniform obsidian with a frothy beige small head 4.5. Nicely oxidized rich malty aroma, sweet dark fruits, touch of raisin, dark chocolate, coats the nostrils, molasses, some milkiness 8.5. Rich syrupy first taste, lightly fruity, touch of grains/grassy, chocolate syrup, not overly sweet. Clean finish. Great body, syrupy but with fantastic fizzy carbonation, not too sticky. Great beer.

Bottle from the cooler-behind-the-cooler at Chuck’s Fine Wines. The beer pours nearly pitch black with a medium brown head that dissolves to a film eventually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate covered raspberries and cherries plus a bit of coffee. Rich and smooth body with flavors of coffee, caramel malt and tart fruits. Nice chocolatey character throughout. The finish is moderately bitter coffee balanced by sweet malt. Very good, possibly the best Baltic Porter around.

Pours black with a very thin head even with a rigorous pour. Aroma is roasted malts, some mild fruit notes, and some alcohol...muted, yet still present. Flavor is very smooth...roasted malt, dark fruits, a bit of smoke, hints of chocolate and smoke, and just blends together beautifully. Palate is very nicely done...this one drinks very easily. Nice offering...great Baltic!
