Commercial Description:
The Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter is deep, rich and velvety soft. A full blooded roasty character is balanced by complex alcohol notes. Strong (9% alcohol by volume) yet unfailingly subtle, this special brew warrants sipping and savoring.

Bottle courtesy of JCB. Pours black with a small light tan head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt and a touch of booze and smokey meats. Flavor of sweet malt and some smokiness in the background. A touch of vegetal notes. Pretty tasty, slightly on the syrupy/heavy side. This is pretty decent, but I don’t think it’s a 4+ beer. A little on the sweet side. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

Great pour! Could smell the fruitiness as soon as the cap was popped! Molasses, dark fruits, raisons, coffee that then melds into Huge Cherries!!!!!! With hidden chocolate tones as well! WOW!!!! Flovor is out of control! Strawberry Ice cream, ripe bananas, and chocolate! This is a banana split with strawberry ice cream beer! Almonds, nuts, and cream slip in almost unnoticed as they are mixed in with the other flavors. Finishes with subtle licorice and fruit cake. The bitter hop finish is just enough to keep you wanting more... as is the alcohol! I could drink this waY TOO FAST!

Courtesy of Papsoe. It is pitch black with a light brown, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, licorice and dark fruit. The mouthfeel is nice and fat. The flavour has sweetness and notes of roasted malt, licorice, dark fruit, chocolate and preserved berries. It is a very pleasant and well balanced Baltic porter.

12oz bottle thanks to MrChopin. Pours black with brown edges and thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, sweet sugar and molasses, coffee and bitter chocolate. Flavor is sweet with roasted malts, chocolate, caramel and some light coffee. Mouthfeel is medium as it smells thinner if that makes sense. It smells like an imperial stout but tastes like a porter. Really complex and a nice sipper.

Smelled of roaste/almost burnt malts. Poured midnight brown, zero head. Had a real roasted/burnt malt flavor with a real twang in the finish. A bit thin. Not impressed based on the high marks.

Bottle thanks to tronraner. Notched 9/08. Dark dark black pour with a quick tan head that leaves no cover. Nose is a bit thin, cold coffee grounds, some fruitiness, cocoa, anise, and maybe alcohol that is thinning it out. Nice body of sweet lightly roasty malts, heavy coffee, some chocolate and more anise underneath. Would just love it to have a touch more in the aroma.

Bottle via TheBeersom. Thanks Matt. Pours a deep black. Quickly settling head. nose is thin and is mostly of cold coffee. Body is surpisingly medium. quietly sweet and then smack! nearly soured coffee/spoiling fruit with some anise hints. A quick one.

Black in color with a medium sized brown head. Aroma is of chocolate, cocoa, coffee and booze. Taste is heavy in chocolate and coffee, with rich dark fruit, licorice, and alcohol.
