Simply given to us by God. Bought at Homebrew Haus in New Bern NC, Thanks Dick! I heard and read about this beer. Living in NC, I saw that it was hard to find. Poured out of 12 oz bottle, dark with a wonderful thick foam. The aroma of chocolate, raisins and coffee resonate through the beer. A unique smoothness overcomes and blends as if the Lord God Jesus Himself supervised the making of this heavenly gift. Being from NC and experience this beer is a true pleasure. I have drank beer, ale, etc, but folks I’m sorry, without being partial, THIS IS truely a work of art that can be experienced and cherished. Thank God for DH Baltic Porter, I aspire that those that have not had the pleasure to have this wonderful ale/beer may somehow be blessed to obtain it. Simpley the best IMO, so far. ;)

Aug 27, 2008 Damn this is one fine beer...wow one of the best porters I have ever, ever had. Black ass pour wtih a quick fading brown head. Aromas of molasses, soy, chocolate, coffee, syrup, candy sugar and deep malts hit the tongue. Flavor is sweet, thick, rich, syrupy...full of molasses, chocolate, and dark sweet dried fruit. Simply a world class porter and I need more ASAP!

Aug 27, 2008 Bottle via mcbackus on his way to 100 trades. Better than ever imagined. Pours cola black with nice carbonation and a tan ring around the edges. Huge syrupy aroma of choclate, molassas and roasted malt. Silky mouthfeel. Flavour strong with candied fruit, raisons and currants. Sticks to your ribs.

Aug 21, 2008 Thanks to wagenvolks for the bottle! Poured into a snifter. Black with slight brown highlights. Minute brown head that fades almost immediately and leaves no lacing.
Aroma is rich boozy chocolate with soy sauce, molasses, and sweet cream.
Flavor is considerably more complex than the aroma. Sweet chocolate graham cracker up front, with accents of licorice and molasses that carry it to a beautiful finish with just the right amount of roast. Perfect balance of sweet and roasted/bitter. A little smokiness and a subtle booziness.
Medium-full body with lowish carbonation. Very chewy and a little sticky. Finish is long and fulfilling. Great beer.

Aug 12, 2008 12oz. bottle Thanks to OldStyleCubFan, my summer santa. My first try at a baltic porter, really enjoyed it too. Pours opaque black with a thick light brown head that slowly fades over the course of consumption. Mocha, roasted malt, dark cherry and red wine in the nose. Pleasantly sweet and malty. Flavor has notes of dark chocolate, sweet caramel, cherry, dark fruit/figs, molasses, red wine, some bitter roastiness and lactic sourness at the end. Nice creamy body. Enjoyable, another one OSCF send me that nearly tops my list. Thanks Santa!

Aug 7, 2008 Dark brown with no head but good lacing. the aroma was fruity: smelling of dates and cherries with hints of tar, yeast, licorice and chocolate. Bitter throughout. Medium-full bodied with a syrupy texture. A very good beer, but not quite my style.
