Commercial Description:
The Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter is deep, rich and velvety soft. A full blooded roasty character is balanced by complex alcohol notes. Strong (9% alcohol by volume) yet unfailingly subtle, this special brew warrants sipping and savoring.

pours a deep black with ruby highlights, with a brown head that retains ok and leaves good lace. lush nose leans to the chocolate-malted side of the roast equation. flavor starts with mouthfilling chcolatey creaminess, and gently warms on exit. very smooth and well balanced.

Pretty delightful stuff, and fantastic at the price. Nose of chocolate and coffee. Dark brown, almost black, and almost opaque, with a very small tan head. First impression of coffee, chocolate, bourbon, and some hop notes at the end. Marvelous velvet silky oily mouth feel. Remarkable for a porter and remarkable for the price.

On tap at Capone’s. Thick opaque black color with no head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, and molasses. Flavor is complex-roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses, and dark fruit. Definitely a sipping beer. Velvety on the palate. Just wonderful!

12 oz. bottle from City Beverage in Winston-Salem. Thick, dark brown to black pour with a very thin and quickly fading tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, coffee, and a bit of smoke. Dark chocolate flavor with a hint of fruit tartness (possibly blueberry). Oily, slick mouthfeel. Some warming alcohol detected. Worthy of the praise it receives.

Bottle Pours a great dark brown with a tan head. The disapates quickly, and laces well. Has a good aroma of raost, alcohol, and malts. Has a moderate carbonation. The flavor is excellent. Sweet and sharp. This is what I think of when I thinkbaltic porter. A hearty touch on the heavy side winter brute. Well blended. Has a medium to full body. The texture is thicker. Has a great finish and a wonderful aftertaste. I waited a while for this one and it was as good as advertised.

Just one of those beers when you thank whatever you dare to believe in for creating craft beer. An alcohol tinged roasted malt and chocolate nose rise from an Imperial Stout like body and a dark brown, puffy quarter-inch head. The flavor is where this Baltic really brings it home. The taste is equal to dark chocolate covered raspberries and plums and a heavy cocoa aftertaste. An absolute beauty of a body and soft mouthfeel that hides the alcohol well, rounds out this delicate brew. Buy this beer whenever possible!

12oz bottle, best by October 2014? Pours black with thin brown foam that fades to a thin layer, almost no lacing. Aroma is barely there, mix of booze, dark chocolate and stale coffee. Very sweet up front, molasses, cocoa powder and some faint licorice notes, just a hint of bitterness. Subtle is an understatement, too smooth for 9%.

bottle thanks to emacgee. poured black with a nice tan head and decent lacing and legs. aroma was chocolate, dark roast, whipping cream, and some nice alcohol. flavor was dark roast, alcohol, small piney bitter, and what seemed to be an ever so small presence of smoke. body was medium with low carbonation and very smooth.
