(12oz bottle, thanks wilkie) Crystal clear copper body with small beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, cherry, mango, caramel. Taste is sweet, cherry, peach, toffee, earthy, some alcohol warming. Sticky medium-full body. Unusual, but not sure I fully embrace what they do here.

Sprtizy fruit and chocolate aroma, setlles to a grain ,caramel and colaaroma, taste is pretty much dominated by sharp fruit esters with spiced alcohol, and hop bitterness, tastey enough, but the harshness detracts a little

This is a very malty barleywine, but still has a hoppy nose. Tons of nuts in the aroma and the hops have a distinctly minty quality. The body is sweet and sticky. Pours a clear reddish brown with a large, long-lasting head.

Thanks Jason. BB 12/2007. The beer pours to a deep amber/red body with a yellowish tan head. The beer has a nice lacing in a snifter. The aroma is sweet Turbinado sugar, brown sugar, and strawberry hops. It’s clean, aromatic and good. The flavor is malty with lots of sweet residual sugars. Sweet substantial palate that lingers. A decent barleywine.

Ruby/rust clear body. Small frothy tan head. Sweet malty aroma with light C-hops in the background. Sweet watery caramel malt, light hops again in the flavor. Almost a slight sour fruit (like blueberry) thing in the background. Sweetness settles down a bit with some oxidation, adds a adjuncty sweetness to it. Okay beer.

12oz bottle as a bonus from JCapriotti, thanks Jason! Notched @ 12/07 as the Best By date. Pours a clear orange brown with a two finger slowly fading beige head. Up front aroma is kind of Belgiany yeast and candy sugar--strange--, some herbal and light citrus hops, caramel and some alcohol. Flavor has soft piney and herbal hops up front, toffee and a bit of the same Belgian character from before with a bit of spice, and I can taste the alcohol, but not really feel it. Lightly bittersweet finish. Burps plastic. Light carbonation with a medium body. Not too bad, but not what I was expecting at all, and not very BWish.

Bottle. Upon pouring, the most prevalent character is aroma(slightly unpleasant malt aroma--rot in wort??)--very hoppy, and caramel sweet with toffee overtones. Appearance is brownish-red, small tannish head. Flavor is sweet, a little bit unpleasant in malt, but quite hoppy, and caramel is prevalent again. Better when warmer, but still slightly off-putting in flavor.

Pours a dark amber with a very light white head. Kind of a vegetable smell. Sort of like tomatoes or ketchup. Condiments galore. Taste is somewhat sweet and powerful. Really comes at you. I get really wierd flavors and smells in this beer. I almost get like a spaghetti sauce or something in the taste. Really wierd. Unlike any other beer Ive ever had in its complex and unusuallness. I dont know. Dont ask.
