The honey is very noticeable and full in flavor. Sweet and warm without being too hot and alcoholic like many of this style. rich caramel, mild peat, nice complexity overall. Aroma is full of all things dark; toffee, candy, malt, honey, with a hint of chocolate and maybe a touch of smoke. Palate is nice and thick, with the honey really coming out. Flavor is nice and balanced, smoke, honey, malt, candy. Duck Rabbit does it again. emacgee (1872), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

No head. the nose is rich, caramel, malty, honey, alcohol. Flavor is nice and rich, caramel, malty, sweet, alcohol, bready, toffee. Very tasty braggot. Can’t wait till the Baltic Porter comes out. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 10, 2009 Generously shared by Facto and Frumpty at the Pre-Sex madness. The nose is surprisingly funky, almost as if it were mainlining the peat and smoke of the regular WH. Not that it comes at the expense of the richly sweet flavors of honey and deep toffee, because they’re there in abundance. As David said, this is probably the best of the braggots. ucusty (1885), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 10, 2009 Hazy amber pour with a fine thin head. Aroma of honey, oak, and caramel. Similar flavor. This braggot seems to be my favorite from D/R as this is more balanced and complex.
