Commercial Description:
An American brown ale brewed with loads of hops from start to finish (it’s hoppy and beautifully bitter). Amarillo hops in the boil provide a spicy citrusy bitterness. Saaz dry hops in the fermentor provide a refined flowery aroma. These hops are supported by a grain bill of seven varieties of malt.

Bottle. Poured a clear, purplish brown color with a medium light-brown head. Nice lacing. Decent malty aroma. Fizzy mouthfeel. Flavor is a dark malty flavor with barely a hint of hops. Not one of the better browns I’d had.

Big thanks to bmartin08 for sending me the bottle that makes my Duck-Rabbit Brewery sweep complete. Hazy copper/brown color with a huge head. Good lacing. Best retention I’ve seen in a brown; lots of foamy shapes.
Aroma is earthy and dusty, with citrus, grains and caramel. Tastes much more bitter than your average brown; and much less sweet. Complex, bitter and dusty. Not your father’s brown ale.

Dark brown with a tan head. Coffee and molasses in the nose. The flavor is really darf for a brown. Lots of roasted flavors plus coffee and chocolate. Good job.

Chattanooga, Tn. - Riverside Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Very dark copper pour, with a thin, but sticky khaki colored head. Malty aroma - hints of brown sugar and molasses. Sweet maltiness carries over to the flavor. Here I pick up some chocolate, black dirt, and a hint of caramel. Underlying bitter hoppiness comes through in the finish. Mouthfeel is just a bit off - kind of muddled. Overall. a most decent Brown Ale.

Poured dark brown with tan head. Smells of roasted malt and hops. Taste was a little hoppy for a brown ale. I like that.

Bottle...it’s a brown with the hoppiness of a good IPA. Floral aroma with chocolatey fruity pleasant taste, A little chalky but very unique in many ways. One of my favorites from Duck Rabbit.

Bottle from Total Wine, Huntersville, NC. Pours clear, dark brown in color with a medium tan head. Aroma is of brown sugar and nice and malty. The flavor was hops balanced by roasted malts. This was a very nice brown ale, and will look forward to trying this one again.
