Decent malty aroma. Fizzy mouthfeel. Flavor is a dark malty flavor with barely a hint of hops. Not one of the better browns I’d had. MrBendo (1048), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Hazy copper/brown color with a huge head. Good lacing. Best retention I’ve seen in a brown; lots of foamy shapes.
Aroma is earthy and dusty, with citrus, grains and caramel. Tastes much more bitter than your average brown; and much less sweet. Complex, bitter and dusty. Not your father’s brown ale. pintocb (518), Darsville, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2007 Dark brown with a tan head. Coffee and molasses in the nose. The flavor is really darf for a brown. Lots of roasted flavors plus coffee and chocolate. Good job. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 17, 2007 Chattanooga, Tn. - Riverside Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Very dark copper pour, with a thin, but sticky khaki colored head. Malty aroma - hints of brown sugar and molasses. Sweet maltiness carries over to the flavor. Here I pick up some chocolate, black dirt, and a hint of caramel. Underlying bitter hoppiness comes through in the finish. Mouthfeel is just a bit off - kind of muddled. Overall. a most decent Brown Ale. johnadam2002 (529), Hainesport, New Jersey, USA
