Commercial Description:
An American brown ale brewed with loads of hops from start to finish (it’s hoppy and beautifully bitter). Amarillo hops in the boil provide a spicy citrusy bitterness. Saaz dry hops in the fermentor provide a refined flowery aroma. These hops are supported by a grain bill of seven varieties of malt.

Sniffed this toasted malt at arm’s length. Really, really nice. Health tan frothy head, pours deep brown red in color. Full toasted carmel on your buds. A lingering bitter aftertaste lays on your tongue. Nice full body, frothy on the palate without being too syrupy. This is the best brown ale I’ve ever had. Most browns are rather uneventful. Just a basic drinking ale. Duck-Rabbit’s Brown Ale is a destination. I’ll definitely get this one again.

WBF-Raleigh. Clear dark amber body with a small tan head. Sweet malty, caramel, and nutty aroma. Sweet nutty, strong bitter and caramel flavor.

Bottle from Turd. Tons of brown sugar in this great aroma. Dark bown body with red highlights. Nice palate for the style. Plenty of malt, nice hops behind that. Very good balance. A likeable brown.

Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Has a caramel, and spice flavor. Has a semi heavy hop taste. Finishes with a hop flavor on the tongue. Nothing special here.

12 oz bottle. Best by 2/07. Clear caramel with an erupting tan head. Five minutes later a jagged landscape remains with lace clouds. Amped up nose of molasses, ash, tobacco and over-ripe blueberry. Tastes of coffee grounds, soapy club soda, earth and bad walnuts. Cardboard and radish round things out. Something is horribly wrong . I suspect this beer got cooked.

Bottle. Pours clear, dark brown in color with a medium tan head. Aroma is of flowers and malt. The flavor was mainly hops balanced by roasted malts. The citrus hops lasted awile. Not too bad for a brown ale.

12 oz bottle via TURDFERGUSON (thanks!). Pours a clear dark brown with a huge chunky beige head. Nose is toffee and grainy. Taste is of toasted barley and lots of earthy/citrus hops. Body is thin/medium. Astringant chalky aftertaste. Carbonation is medium. is an ok brown ale, but a bit on the hoppy side.
