Commercial Description:
An American brown ale brewed with loads of hops from start to finish (it’s hoppy and beautifully bitter). Amarillo hops in the boil provide a spicy citrusy bitterness. Saaz dry hops in the fermentor provide a refined flowery aroma. These hops are supported by a grain bill of seven varieties of malt.

Bottle. Warm brown color. Rich malty aroma the way most browns should be. Quaffable but not thin. Nice roasted malt character. Nice and dry and finishes with a hint of spice. A true session beer. Very nice example of the style.

Split bottle with Butters. First let me say this bottle was extremely overcarbonated and killed the entire experience for me. Burnt red in color with a burnt toast, roasty, flavor with a hoppy finish.

Gusher! Pours a murky light brown with massive tan head. Nose has some toffee, nutty. Vegetal nuttiness and some metallic, with huge carbonic bite. Not infected, but certainly overcarbonated.

Bottle. Pours clear dark brown with ruby hints and a big, creamy khaki head. Nose is toasty and floral, dry. Flavor is lots of toasty, roasty malt, breadcrust, nutty, dry, with a long, moderately bitter, dry finish. I prefer my brown ales less hoppy - the dry hop quality and the toast, almost roasty presence seem to emphasize each other in a way that makes both a bit more dry and unpleasant.

A nice brown ale. SOme sweetness, toasted nuts, earthy hops. Huge foamy head from lots of carb. Brown pour. Hoppy, earthy, roasted, nutty.

Yowza this stuff is hoppy as all heck looks like whiskey in your glass but with a nice amount of tan head the hops just hit you big time and the bitterness hits you as well seems like too many flavors a bit spicy floral and roasted not a slammer

Holy hell this is what a brown ale should be all about. Murky brown pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is really nice. I get some nuts, notes of lactose, hops and a bit of fruitiness. Tastes like this brown ale has part milk stout, part porter, and part ipa in it. Creamy mouthfeel, smooth mellow hops and some nutiness make this a seemless brew. VERY underrated and for the life of me I cannot figure out why.
