Commercial Description:
An American brown ale brewed with loads of hops from start to finish (it’s hoppy and beautifully bitter). Amarillo hops in the boil provide a spicy citrusy bitterness. Saaz dry hops in the fermentor provide a refined flowery aroma. These hops are supported by a grain bill of seven varieties of malt.

Aroma was stinky ringwood funk and malt. poured dark brown with small tanish head from low carbonation. flavor was a little more bitter than most with some nutty flavor and lots of ringwood funk. medium bodied. Really can’t handle beers made with ringwood yeast anymore except for a select few.

A nice, subtle fruitiness to the aroma along with a floral nose. Dark reddish amber with a thick off-white head that lingers. Oily mouthfeel with alcohol present. Flavor is kind of bland with a bitter hop taste but nothing special. There are better beers out there, I can’t recommend this one.

On tap at RFD in DC. Pours a hazy brown with a medium sized light beige head. Light nutty malt, toast. Medium bodied, light almost sourness to it, tangy with some nice nutty notes. Finishes up with a little bit more almost sourness (bad tap maybe?), and some roast and toast flavors.

Chestnut brown with a tall tan head that clings to the side of the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and hops. Flavor of roasted malts, chocolate, nuts, and hop-bitter finish. Very nice beer for the style.
