| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 2, 2008 Bottle - pours dark with a very small head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of charcoal & chocolate with a hint of milk! Interesting taste of a stout with an aftertaste of roasted malt and a slight hint of milk. All-in-all, a unique taste of a good stout with a hint of milk ElGaucho56 (393), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2008 Pours an obsidian black with very faint tannish head that quickly dissipates, almost no lacing. Very roasted nose, akin to burnt toast, with a rich molasses sweetness and a dark yeast character. Thin and flat on the palate, but with a rich flavor of kilned malts, bittersweet chocolate, earthy coffee notes, finishing dry and somewhat fruity, with a mild herbal bitterness like a digestif. Not nearly as sweet as I had prepared myself for, and a nicely complex sweet stout.
