Commercial Description:
A traditional full-bodied stout brewed with lactose (milk sugar). The subtle sweetness imparted by the lactose balances the sharpness of the highly roasted grains which give this delicious beer its black color.

Bottled. Burgundy coloured.Light brown head. Sweetness, light roast, some sweet chocolate and vague spices in the aroma. Flavour has light chocolate, light roast, light herbs and some spiced fruit. Is medium to full bodied. Dry. Chocolatish roasted end. Thanks to Immy for this.

Bottle...luxurious, velvety, creamy, delicious...you can really taste the malt, coffee, and milk flavors in this. Nice dark color, rich, amber-colored head. Complex. My favorite stout.

Poured black with a thin tan head and some lacing in the glass. Has hints of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts in the aroma. The taste is the same with a smooth milky feeling as the beer goes down. A nice thick body that leaves a sweet taste behind. Thanks to elmatador for this one.

A 12 oz bottle shared by joebrew. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with some red highlights and a thick tan head. Excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, whipping cream, coffee, and a hint of sour pitted fruit. Taste is medium body, light carbonation, dark barley malt, light smoke and a touch of dark fruit. Finish is a little metalic and sweet.

12 oz. bottle from BleacherBum. very dark brown, nearly black, on the pour with a short tan head trailing off to a ring of lace. aroma and flavors are of mild chocolate, coffee, some toffee and lactose sweetness. carbonation was a bit high and was medium bodied. a good session stout.

Poured a dark brown with red edges okay head and lacing. Aroma was coffee and chocolate. Flavor was a little off for me, weird fruitness to it, and milk stout, where is that. Mouthfeel was almost a little watery.

Black body with a small tan head. With a name like this you know what’s coming. Indeed very lactic. The roasted malts blend in with the lactic elements to create a milk-chocolate taste. Carbonation is very active with lots of bubbles. The beer looses a few points for a light beany flavour (brown and green beans). Nice beer but I felt it was missing something, like an unfinished senten
