Commercial Description:
Very dark in color. This robust porter features a pronounced flavor of roasted grains reminiscent of dark chocolate. Also, Paul and Brandon add oats to the grist to give a subtle round silkiness to the mouthfeel.

Bottle. Poured a dark brown with a one finger tan head. Aroma of coffee and bitter chocolate. Flavor was roasted malt and a decent hop finish. Medium body with good carbonation and a slightly watery mouthfeel.

12oz bottle. Very dark pour, black with a light brown head. Roasty smell. hints of coffee and dark chocolate. Deeply roasted grains and very nice bittering hops. Roasty flavor. medium bodied, perfect carbonation. A great everyday Porter.

Like a chocolate phosphate. This beer is a head monster. Aromas of dark chocolate and seltzer, much like the flavors. Thin with a clean finish.

This is a great porter that is black and thin, but with rich flavors like a strong coffee. Not much body at all to it, but the strong coffee, toffee, and burnt flavors are very rewarding and nullify the lack of body. This is a great beer.

Bottle pours black w/ dark brown highlights and cola colored 1inch plus head that collapsed immediately to a few bubbles dotting the surface. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel/toffee, bittersweet chocolate and molasses. Flavor has lots of bittersweet chocolate & cocoa with a faint touch of sour just before the lightly bitter finish. Body is medium and fairly silky w/ moderately low carb. Overall a very nice brew.

Courtesy of Cigarcitybrew. Pours light black, off white, thick. Aroma grilled, cofeeish. Taste, roasted as well, light hoppy after taste, grainy finish, with nice chocolate malts. One fantastic porter, this is really the dark beer specialist.

Bottle pours a dark brown that shows ruby hues when held to light. Creamy tan head leaves sheet lacing. Aroma has nutty almond and a hint of chocolate. Creamy medium body has an ideal soft carbonation. Taste has the same nuttiness as the aroma, with notes of milk chocolate, grassy hops, and some dark roasty malt bitterness. Very solid.
