Commercial Description:
Very dark in color. This robust porter features a pronounced flavor of roasted grains reminiscent of dark chocolate. Also, Paul and Brandon add oats to the grist to give a subtle round silkiness to the mouthfeel.

From bottle : Pours very dark in color, with a half finger of offwhite head that dies fairly quick. Nose is roasty, with some fruits coming through as well. Taste is roasty as well, with some hints of smoke, and that fruityness from the nose showing up again, with a tiny bit of alcohol in the end. Aftertaste is roasted, but faint. Medium body with a good smooth feel. Pretty decent porter.

Bottle thanks to DragonStout. Pours a deep brown color with a thick, rocky tan head. Aroma of light roastiness and a hint of vinous fruit. Weird biting crispness leads into a roasted malt flavor with undertones of chocolate and light cherry. Finishes smooth with a light smokiness that dries the palate out a bit. Like the Milk Stout, this was different, but still pretty good. I enjoyed this one a bit more than the milk stout though.

I havent had a porter thisgood in quite along time. Tastes roasted but it doesnt have a smokey aftertaste like some. The addition of oats really give the beer a great texture and finish.

This was a great find. Not a very strong aroma, a smoky malty mix. The beer pours a dark black with a tan head. The flavor was very malty with a smoky undertone. The finish, and this may sound strange, was blue cheese. I really like this one and will certainly drink it again.

A flavorful porter with a cherry-cola taste with some chocolate mixed in. This is an interesting combination and is pleasantly drinkable.

12 oz bottle from Earthfare. Deep brown with tobacco tint. Modest froth. Nose is unremarkable, maybe vineous. Flavor is bitter dark chocolate with coffee undertones. Mouthfeel is pleasant. Finishes with a hint of smoke.
