Commercial Description:
Very dark in color. This robust porter features a pronounced flavor of roasted grains reminiscent of dark chocolate. Also, Paul and Brandon add oats to the grist to give a subtle round silkiness to the mouthfeel.

Another fine product from Duck-Rabbit. If you like a good Porter then try this. Hard to find outside the Carolina area.

Pours dark brown / mahogany with tight tan head. The aroma is quite sweet with toasty chocolate and some fruitiness. Medium / thin body with very prickly carbonation. The flavor starts like the aroma, but drier with lots of cocoa as apposed to the full on chocolate of the aroma. There is some sweetness added into the finish. Decent porter.

Dark brown pour, medium tan head. Aroma is roasty and smells like straight cocoa powder. Flavor is roasted, with some fruity esters, milk chocolate. A little thin and watery with a touch of metallic in the aftertaste. Really too thin.

Cocoa, port, red fruit aroma. Very sweet, dull cocoa. Taste pretty much follows suit, but more cocoa in the taste and a slight ashy bitterness. Solid, but not amazing.

Malty, delicious, and good texture... silky. I love supporting my local brewery, but only if its good brew.

This porter poured, looked, and smelled awesome until I drank it. It was extremely wattery and sour almost. No flavor to it and I would never drink it again.(It was a bad one) Then i had another and wow, it was much better. Very malty and robust. chocolate aftertaste and really smooth. Much better the second time around for me
