Commercial Description:
Very dark in color. This robust porter features a pronounced flavor of roasted grains reminiscent of dark chocolate. Also, Paul and Brandon add oats to the grist to give a subtle round silkiness to the mouthfeel.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of chocolate, coffee, light roasted malts, and some malts. Poured brown/mahogany in color with a medium to large-sized, dense, tan head that lasted throughout. Clear. Barely sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of roasted malts, light chocolate, slight coffee, and a bit of cream. Medium body. Thin, slightly tingly, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Bitter coffee, slight chocolate finish is dry.

Draft @ Sharp Edge Emporium. Poured dark. Nice foamy brownish (caramel) colored head. Nice aroma of coffee, malts, and caramel. Taste isn’t over powering. Nice blend of coffee, chocolate, caramel. Went down smooth. Not over carbonated. Slight bitterness in the end as it warmed. Nice mesh over flavors.

One 5 oz sample of a 6 beer sampler at 3 son’s in Wexford, nice place. Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Supposedly by the DR owner. Dark, very nice looking with a creamy head. Has a roasty aroma. Overall the aesthetics of this beer is quite appealing. Mild roasty charred flavors greet the palate. Not too much carbonation, but there is this creamy sensation. Burned wood campfire bitterness and char builds thru the session. Good finish but could have a few more manners. Not bad overall, good beer tasting experience. DR porter S6L4F2T5011

Bottle Pours a deep black with a small off white head. The head leaves quickly, but laces well. Has a good malty aroma of coffee and chocolate. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is good but has a touch of metalic to it. The flavor has some nice hidden spiciness to it. Has a medium body. A watery texture. A pretty good finish and an ever changing aftertaste. This is a refreshing porter. I like the duck or is it rabbit...oh well its good.
