| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 10, 2009 One 5 oz sample of a 6 beer sampler at 3 son’s in Wexford, nice place. Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Supposedly by the DR owner. Dark, very nice looking with a creamy head. Has a roasty aroma. Overall the aesthetics of this beer is quite appealing. Mild roasty charred flavors greet the palate. Not too much carbonation, but there is this creamy sensation. Burned wood campfire bitterness and char builds thru the session. Good finish but could have a few more manners. Not bad overall, good beer tasting experience. DR porter S6L4F2T5011

The head leaves quickly, but laces well. Has a good malty aroma of coffee and chocolate. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is good but has a touch of metalic to it. The flavor has some nice hidden spiciness to it. Has a medium body. A watery texture. A pretty good finish and an ever changing aftertaste. This is a refreshing porter.
