Commercial Description:
Very dark in color. This robust porter features a pronounced flavor of roasted grains reminiscent of dark chocolate. Also, Paul and Brandon add oats to the grist to give a subtle round silkiness to the mouthfeel.

Bottle pours dark chocolate color with tan head. Aroma is almost non-existent. I barely get some grain. Medium light mouthfeel. Taste is where this brew is at. Its got a roasty chocolate flavor that lasts into the finish. My only complaint is it has no aroma hardly at all. Otherwise, a very nice brew.

Thanks ucusty. Poured dark brown with a huge tan head, which simmers down to leave only a bit of lace. Aroma focuses on roasted malt: more smoke than chocolate, with some fruity anise in there, too. Flavor is smokey and very cereal. Finishes with more anise and smoke. Mouthfeel is very smooth but somewhat thin-bodied.

Bottle. Deep dark brown with medium tan head. Mildly smokey aroma. Rich chocolatey notes with an earthy minerally component too. Smooth carbonation lends a nice quaffability. lovely dark chocolate body with subtle flavor nuances that emerge new upon each sip.

Holy smokes. what a smokey brew! Pours a pitch black colour with a soft creamy tan head. Noticeable bbq (how ironic) smokey, oakey, chewy roasted malted flavours. Aroma is very smokey, with burned toast, and black licorice on the nose. Flavourful, intriquite and pleasent- definately a belly warmer even on a nice 40 degree day like today. thanks brother Lou!

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted coffee and malt. Very roasty flavor with some chocolate and coffee. Nice bittersweet smokey finish. Very good porter.
