I barely get some grain. Medium light mouthfeel. Taste is where this brew is at. Its got a roasty chocolate flavor that lasts into the finish. My only complaint is it has no aroma hardly at all. Otherwise, a very nice brew. noncaloric (620), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Poured dark brown with a huge tan head, which simmers down to leave only a bit of lace. Aroma focuses on roasted malt: more smoke than chocolate, with some fruity anise in there, too. Flavor is smokey and very cereal. Finishes with more anise and smoke. Mouthfeel is very smooth but somewhat thin-bodied. walleye (879), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA

Noticeable bbq (how ironic) smokey, oakey, chewy roasted malted flavours. Aroma is very smokey, with burned toast, and black licorice on the nose. Flavourful, intriquite and pleasent- definately a belly warmer even on a nice 40 degree day like today. thanks brother Lou! maugus4ever (121), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA
