Roasted grain and coffee dominate the body with a hint of vanilla and chocolate. Dry finish. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown-black, with a thin, fizzy tan head. Nose is roasty, a bit of acidity and coffee. Taste is quite roasty - dark roasted coffee and and some acidity, almost burnt, with a bit of a smokey presence way down underneath. Fairly dry finish. medium-light in body, finish is maybe a bit watery. Decent porter, but I prefer the milk stout. Brewbie (226), New York, USA
