sample from bottle - Pours black with a thin tan head. Chocolate and dark roast malts lead an enjoyable aroma. The flavor has huge roast malts, coffee, alcohol, and moderate hops that balance the big, thick malts very well and lead into a strong hops finish. Good stuff.

This baby pours a thick black with a very brown head, my mom was in the room and said it looked like "mud", I commented back to her "Good!". Anyway smell is roasted nuts with some dark baker’s chocolate and finishing with a distinct smell of blueberries. The sweet smell of the berries is very faint but very nice after all the roasted notes. Taste is bold and roasty. Flavors of roasted nuts and coffee come together as the main punch with a soft sweetening towards the end by dark fruits and chocolate. Good Imperial Stout!

(Bottle, super thanks to Ughsmash and moejuck) Pours black with a nice coffee like head. Fruity and roasted aroma with tones of liquorice, coffee beans, dark bread, blue berries, pears, caramel, dark chocolate, sal ammoniac and some parsley. Some alcohol warmth both in the aroma and in the flavour. Heavy roasted flavour with burned rubber hints and a coffee bean bitter finish. Thick and rounded mouthfeel. Lingering coffee taste with notes of dark chocolate. Also some berries, nuts and maybe some parsley in the flavour as well. Medium to full bitterness. Near full body. The nose is more complex than the flavour. A nice one.

Bottle. Black pour with a tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, liqourice and light coffee. Falvors of bitter coffee, roasted malt, liqourice...way too much light gritty coffee. Medium bodied with a bit too much carbonation and a bitter/roasty finish. Not too bad for a dry stout, but seriously, the baltic porter is more imperial stout-like than this.

Bottle, thanks to bleacherbum. Pours an almost completely opaque black with a fluffy light brown head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla and chocolate. Medium to full body and moderate carbonation. Taste of coffee and nuts. Moderately bitter espresso and alcohol finish.

Bottle. Thanks to Oldgrowth. Deep black pour with nice size head. Aroma is of chocolate, nuts, coffee. Sweet malty taste with some chocolate, nuts and a lite coffee taste. Lots of sugar in this one. In fact it maybe too sweet, the sweetness really effected the balance of it. Pretty high alcohol burn. Was surprised at the weak mouthfeel. An odd bitterness to it. A Little ashy(?) In no ways a bad beer but this one is a little too rough around the edges. Aging is in question.

Thanks to TomDecapolis for sharing these bottles... Appears a dark black with dark brown edges and a small tan head that slowly fades out. Spotty lacing is left around the glass. Smell is of roasted nuts, cocoa, ripe fruit, coffee, and toffee. Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a definite nuttiness that is almost like a peanut butter blasted chocolate nut cluster with some herbal hops. Mouthfeel is full bodied, slightly astringent with a touch of grainy tartness, with plenty of nuts and ripe fruit lingering on until the bitter finish.
