Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 29, 2007 Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of chocolate, and medium notes of roasted malt lending it a bit of acidity, but also hints of citrus. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of chocolate and hard roasted malt, and medium notes of soy sauce and alcohol. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 19, 2007 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of sk8viking. Pours black and opaque with a huge, light brown head. Fruity, raisiny aroma. Medium body only with burned malt accents. Some fruitiness before a heavy malt astringency in the finish. 171107 Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 16, 2007 Pretty black. The aroma is milky, roasty, with a hint of molasses. Thick, rich brew. Molasses and stinging roast throughout, with an alcohol tickle down the throat. I’m not terribly enthusiastic about this one - it’s all stinging roast and doesn’t offer much nuance. The character isn’t as rounded with lush sugars as a typical DR brew. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Jun 2, 2008Name: Rabbid Duck
