Bottle courtesy Ucusty, pours opaque ruddy brown with a finger thick, creamy head. The nose is wonderful, with caramel, dried fruit, molasses. The flavor is a shadow of the nose, but has a slight tartness like unsweetened tea. Slight creamy mouthfeel. The finish is a bit bland.

Thanks ’TheCheeseMan!’ Pours an orangish-brown with minute particulate. Aroma is caramel malts, toffee, and a hint of peat and wood. Taste is about the same - a pretty good scotch ale for a style that kinda disgusts me most of the time.

Pours a deep dark brown color with very litle head. Aroma is of caramel, molasses, peat and some brown sugar. Taste is caramel, light chocolate, dark fruit, molasses, peat and hints of smoke. Highly carbonated and syrupy mouthfeel. If your tongue had ribs, this mother of a beer would stick it. Alcohol is upfront on this, but not too overpowering. Good.

Bottle thanks alexsdad06. Pours a brown with nice sized off-white head. Sweet nose with caramel, malt and some hints of smoke. Flavor is much the same with a thicker mouthfeel. Really sticks to the glass and the palate. Not like a syrup, but rich with flavor. Smoke is there, but not over powering. Just enough to make a nice balance with the sweetness.

Courtesy SoLan. Pours a clear, reddish-brown, cherry wood color. A frothy beige head leaves minimal amounts of sudsy spotting on the glass. The nose shows tons of sweet toasted caramel, nougat, and toffee, with smoked chocolate malts playing more of a background role. Some nice, earthy, spicy hops add needed balance. The flavor is sweeter than expected, with nougat and caramel really asserting themselves as the dominant components. The earthy hops are there, but seem a bit muted, as does the peaty chocolate malts. Medium-full, syrupy body. Sits a little heavy on the stomach. Decent brew, but I’m left wanting more smoky bitterness.

Poured a very cloudy brown color with small tan head which left great lacing. Aroma was of caramel and some grass and dark fruits. Flavor was of smokey something lot and lots of caraml, dark fruits. Good solid beer.

From a 12oz Bottle, Vintage 2006. Obtained in a trade with afatty. Transparent, crimson tinged caramel colored pour with a thin head of quickly dissipating fine bubbled tan. Aromas of caramel, honey, green raisins, and a hint of strawberry fruit. Clean caramel malt with a touch of fruity malt sweetness. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated mouthfeel with a moderately dry malty texture. Flavors of caramel, leather, raisins, and prune skins. Munich-like grapey qualties. Perhaps a touch of chocolate. Clean and malty, but the raisin and grape malt flavors are a bit over-powering, preventing additional complexity from coming through. Enjoyable, but not amazing. Thanks, Glenn!

Bottle. Pours dark amber with slight head. Smell of smoke and kindo of reminded me of manure fields back in dairy country. Very unpleasant smell. Taste was mainly alcohol. Not the Duck Rabbits best effort.
