The alcohol burns perfectly compared to other versions I’ve had where it was kind of wack. These guys seem to know how to craft them. elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 1, 2007 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle via trade with Frumpy. Pours a dark caramel amber with a thin beige head that quickly dissolves to a fine film and ring. Aroma is complex with scents of ripe banana fruit, sweet caramel, peat and sweet taffy. Taste is medium to heavy body, very light carbonation with a peat flavor that causes a dry sensation on the tongue. Finish is semi sweet with a hard sugar candy flavor. The finish also has a dryness that even makes you thirsty for another glass. A very interesting scotch ale. pantani (1900), Salinas, California, USA

Nice Scotch ale, almost like a lowkey Barleywine.
