Poured a deep amber. Sweet, boozey nose. Loads of flavor, sweet malts, alcohol, figs, slight smoke. Warming. Good full mouthfeel. Great beer.

Bottle. Poured a dark reddish brown, beige head. Nose is full of burnt notes, caramel and wood also quite boozey. Flavor is vinous, caramel malt, some toffee, wood, and light peat. Alcohol is a little over powering, finishes slightly hoppy.

12 oz 2007 bottle from trade with ucusty. Pours murky brown with a slight tan head. Nose is lots of malt, booze, notes of whiskey, caramel, alcohol, and maybe some scent of pine. Flavor is lots of malty caramel, some pine, and a hint of spice, with minimal smoke. Sweetness lingers into finish of this medium-bodied monster. Nice, enjoyable Wee.

pours amber, red ruby with golden/mocha head and quickly disappearing head. Aroma malty, caramel, brown sugar some notes of dark fruits (fig) and warming scent of alcohol. Taste, warming alcohol on back palate, some caramel malts, light chocolate and some spices. Mix of sweetness mouthfeel and bitter chocolate.

Scored this 12oz bottle as an extra in a trade with SmokePot23. Thanks Joe! Pours a translucent, copper, bronze amber with a thin, creamy white head. Aroma is exactly what I like out of big malt bombs, plenty of sugary notes, a little peat, slightly boozy, a little bit of leather, dark fruits, cookies and crackers. Could have used a bit more hop in the nose. Flavor goes wrong a little bit, more cookies, crackers and biscuits, but there’s also some strange, slightly off, corn mash like hard sweetness. Dry finish with some burn from the alcohol. More abrasive than it needs to be.

Bottle thanks to durhambeerMahogany, hazy, slightly beige head. Sweet nose of toasty caramel, graham cracker, alcohol. Sweet flavor, lots of caramel and alcohol, slightly earthy. Rather short finish, but palate is robust. Overall not bad, but very standard.

Bottle--No head on a brown body with ruby highlighted edges. No carbonation was noted throughout the drink. The aroma was of musty fruits with some toasted malt. The flavor was sweet, malty and caramel with a biscuit finish, not much roast flavoring. Bruisin Ales.
