Bottle thanks to JCB. Pours a dirty brown with a small light tan head. Aroma of butterscotch and sweet malt. Flavor of sweet malt with a sharp alcoholic finish. Much too sweet for my tastes, this is just not my thing. 6/4/6/3/14 (3.3/5)

Another nice Duck-Rabbit beer. Pours a light brown color with a medium tan head. The aroma is very sweet and malty; lots of sugary goodness, some alcohol, sweet fruits also. The flavor is very nice and sort of mellow; sweet sugars, lots of fruitiness, a sort of dusty malt throughout. Dry and fruity. Very nice.

Draft at Taco Mac. Pours a deep, clear, amber reddish-brown with a thin light tan head that leaves light tendrils of lace on the glass. The aroma is thick with decadent malts and caramel. The flavor starts with a full maltiness - malt sweetness and caramel up-front. There is a light spicy hop bitterness with soft hop flavor and bready, cakey malts at mid-palate. This leads into a spicy, lightly hoppy finish with light cocoa and more full malt flavors. The finish is also slightly warming with alcohol. The mouthfeel is very full-bodied and crisply carbonated with a light tickle on the tongue. Overall, a very malt-forward beer that is tasty and rich, malty and intoxicating. It is lacking some Scotch ale qualities that I usually like in the style - like rich toastiness and subtle roastiness.

Bottle courtesy of KingpinIPA. Pour copper-red with no head. Nose is caramel, raisin, brown sugar and molasses. Insanely complex for being so simplistic. Taste is caramel and brown sugar, raisin and other dark fruits, molasses, with alcohol present throughout. Would do well with age, but tasty as is.

Bottle shared with Nate and Juart courtesy of the latter. Pours a dark amber brown color with a frothy light tan head. Aroma is a huge caramel covered raisin. Some alcohol and maybe even grilled pineapple with brown sugar. The flavor begins with some blinding alcohol flavor. A lot of malty sweetness. Caramel and dark fruit. A thick rich body with a lot of warming alcohol. I think this would be good with a little bit of age on it.
