A red beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is very sweet with spicy notes - especially cinnamon. The flavor is extremely sweet and with the alcohol biting in the throat, but also with notes of wood, cloves, and cinnamon.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of madsberg. Clear, amber golden with an off-white head. Fat, sweetish, burned caramel in the nose. Quite full-bodied with sweetish, burned caramel flavours and lots of fruity accents. Some vanilla in there too. Dry and hoppy finish. 310507

Light brown colour. Aroma pretty typical for the style, toasty, woody, quite rich with caramel-toffee maltiness. Alcoholic and earthy, with a rich malty character. Quite chewy.

(12oz bottle, best by 3/07, thanks chris_o) Clear mahogany body topped by a small beige head that diminishes rapidly. Aroma is sweet, caramel, candi sugar, chocolate, some raisin, light cherry, cinnamon. As it warms, some scotch presence makes itself felt. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, molasses, scotch, some plum, light cinnamon. Some alcohol warmimng from the scotch element. Sticky medium-full body, low carbonation. Certainly a bold interpretation of the style.

(Bottle, BB 03/07) Pours a dark reddish body with a small beige head. Aroma of nuts, toffee, wet dried corn husks, wood, raisins, caramel and corn grain dust. Flavor of sweet fruit, caramel malt, and a hint of scotch. Seems a bit thin.

12oz bottle acquired in a few trades. Poured a medium to darker and clear mahogany color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of toffee, nuts, chocolate, lightly earthy, and caramel. Tastes of caramel, light roast, some dark fruits, and nuts. Light alcohol finish. Medium sweet.
