MartinT (5026), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 7, 2009 My Bottom Line:
This portly Weizenbock showcases banana esters, clovey phenols and round caramel dextrins for hefty moments of sipping.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the cloudy red brown.
-This is richer than Aventinus, but also less carbonated, which lessens drinkability.
-Alcohol peeks in the end, as do mild wooden hops.
-A bit more attenuation would help, methinks.
On tap at the brewpub. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jun 22, 2009 on tap-pours a light tan head and hazy amber/copper color and cloudy orange/brown on second pint I had.
