Commercial Description:
We mashed in a pretty simple malt recipe. We added some hops. Then more hops. Extra hops after that. And then, when nobody was looking, we added still more hops. The result is an incredibly hoppy Double IPA with Chinook, Cascade, and Galena hops that needs to be tasted to be believed. It also has enough malt to back up the floral and citrusy hops, making it surprisingly drinkable. 94IBU

In short: Toasted sugary malts and a lot of dry foresty hops for a simple but very effective fruityless IPA.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Partly cloudy dark golden body topped by an off-white ring of foam
In long: Nose if dry forest wood of all kind (not particularly pine-tree or other). Malt backbone is rather crunchy with grainy toasted malts that show more brown sugar sweetness than caramel. Then a truckload of hops. Lots of tree bark, dry tree leaves and such. The hops provide a decent bitterness but even more of a dryness sensation. This beer is not fruity at all. Far from complex but somehow the lack of rich caramel and fruity flavours go unnoticed because the confrontation of toasted sugary malts vs dry foresty hops work so very well. Because of it I was left with less money and with a bitter after-taste. It really is another American bad company.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub, 94 IBU rated. Full of hop flavour. Light borwn to grapefuit colour, with a little head and lace. Hoppy aroma. Malt there, though in the secondary. they used Chinook, Cascade, and Celena. Full mouthfeel.
