Commercial Description:
Hold onto your hats, or even better - your lips! This bitter beer is for "hop-heads" only. Ripe with floral and citrus notes, our new "india pale ale" is so packed with Centennial and Chinook hops it should be green (the color of hops). It's also unfiltered and dry-hopped. Are you up to the challenge? 12.7 degrees Plato, 50 IBU

(GABF05) Clear apple juice body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, pine, some grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, strong pine, some grapefruit. Light-medium body with nice resin. Pleasantly aggressive.

Orangey-amber hue proposes a lasting white head displaying good lacing. The nose is straightforward, very clean hoppy nose, appealing complex hop profile, very foresty, earthy and citrusy letting anticipate a citric acidity in mouth. The hops have a definite green feel to them and are indeed tart and citrusy, but they don’t suffer from a lack of malt. We feel a most welcomed sweetness as this gets a bit astringent. Resinous and straightforward, but still good. I don’t like IPAs as much as most people, to me it’s a refreshing style that only serves to tame hop cravings and I’ll always prefer a well hopped yeasty dry Belgian for that. Therefore, you won’t see me handing this a 4, but among ths IPAs I’ve had, this is easily in the top quarter, so if you do like IPAs, you’ll definitely enjoy this a lot and being on their regular roster, this makes it all the more worth seeking out.

Pours a slightly hazy orange bronze with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruity hops and some lightly sweet pale malt. Body starts with good fullness and carbonation along with sweet, toasted pale malt and some earthy citrusy bittering and flavor hops before a crisp, bittersweet finish. A pretty nice IPA.

12oz shared bottle (thanks Josh). Poured a medium amber with a small sized off white head. Aromas of light citrus, light caramel, earthy and buttery. Tastes of earthiness, some pine and citrus. Lighter bitterness factor. Josh had a few more bottles and will verify if the butteriness is present in those as well. I’d like to try the tap version as the bottle version was disappointing. Like the seductress on the label, she lured me in and then let me down! 5 3 6 3 12

The butteriness was definitely gone. The previous bottle must have had ’something’ happen to it. Floral. Lightly spicy. Grapefruit finish. Somewhat earthy. Nicely bitter and would have guessed it was higher than 50 IBU.
