Expected it to have more balls, more sperm in its wake... it is a bull after all. Wetherspoons, Victoria Station, London. Alright, but not outstanding.

Nice bright amber colour. Not a big beer, but very drinkable as a quaffing session ale. Scant aroma. Citric notes with a malt backbone in the flavour. Clean and refreshing with a gentle bitterness. Dry, but soft, aftertaste. Not a beer to get too excited about, but a prime example of how one that adds up to more than the sum of the parts. Cask (handpump), Shakespeare’s Head (JDW), Holborn, London.

Guest ale at local Weatherspoons. Pale gold colour, no head to speak of. Thin and sadly lacking in flavour, had one pint, that was enough( had Cairngorm Sheepsaggers Gold afterwards...a FAR superior ale) I was very disappointed in this.

Aroma of Apricot, wood, dusty herbal hops. Hazy amber colour. Fresh wooden tastenotes plus some citrus and apples. Dry finish.

Cask. Chestnut colour, white head. Thin body. OK bitterness, slightly astringent. Very one-dimensional. 4 3 5 2 10

Cask at GBBF08. Almost clear copper colour, small white head. Good fruity flavour, actually a bit spicy. 6 3 6 3 14

Bone dry, acidic and chalky mouthfill, sharp bitterness, more robust then most regular bitters, not very blanced, weak on the malt side, otherwise quite unique and pretty refreshing.

Very dark brown with a thick fine-grained tan head. Malty and toffeeish with a load of dry-hopped aroma. Spicy hoppiness and a hint of resiny oiliness. Well-balanced. A bit of fruit and a very good session beer.
