Far too metallic and virtually no flavour to back it up other than some faint nutty malt. Astringent finish. Aromas are light grapefruit with lemon and biscuit malts. Flavours are sweet grapefruit with hints of strawberry and cherry. Fruity with a dry, grain finish. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England May 10, 2009 Cask handpull at The County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Copper gold colour with lasting beige head. It’s a slightly fruity bitter. Ok hop on finish. Bit of apple/yeast on aroma. Some fruit in mouth. Ok hughie (3016), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England May 5, 2009 Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes, in ’Spoons Real Ale Festival, April-May ’09. Copper with a small white head. Amber coloured, poured completely flat; apple aroma; apple and biscuit flavours and a dry herbal finish. Vague farmyard and sulphur smells, some minerals and earth in flavour. A little watery and rather bland. Magicdave6 (5400), London, Greater London, England Mar 16, 2007 Aroma is floural with lemon off the hops, some rich malts come through afterwards. Taste is similar a good sweet base balanced by the dry hoppy finish, nice little beer here.
