Almost belgianesque yeastiness procures blackcurrant notes and an altogether weirdly fruity palate. Sweetish, but drowned in the malts’ graininess. No toastiness whatsoever, just those dulling, rather stale fruits. Poorly integrated. oh6gdx (9008), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is caramel, fruits and much nectar/tropical fruit. Some slight wood is there too. Flavour is bitterness and tropical fruits along with some wood. Aftertaste is mainly nectary. | 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Cask, gravity at The Rock of Gibraltar Beer Festival, Enslow, Oxon, 01-09-07 Copper coloured with the merest hint of haze, served a bit too warm in my opinion, beers were served inside the pub on racks with no effort to keep cool. Bizarre candy like aroma, unfortunately this artificial aroma followed through into the mouth, very strange what on earth are Theakston at with this beer? Tastes of sweets, sasparilla, and just totally bonkers not my thing at all, hideous stuff. dnas2 (655), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England

Very flowery, lemony scent with some strawberries and mandarins on the end. Smooth mouthfeel, slightly sweet. Tastes of orange jelly with a bitter, dry end and some liquorice at the back. Very unusual and very nice. MesandSim (5939), London, Greater London, England

Nose is medicine, banana antibiotics. Mouth banana chewits. Childrens chewy sweets. Finish is watery and sweet. Fake fruit, coating. Just plain bad. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England
