JDW, Rochester. Raspberry & whiskey malt flavours tickle the taste buds. Easily gulpable, but let down in attraction by astringent centre and chalky finish. Tannic tea notes develop, then the initial flavours that seemed so attractive start to linger heavily and unpleasantly. Interesting.

Cask Handpump at the William Jameson, Sunderland (JDW) 31/10/2005. Golden coloured and very fruity raspberry aroma and taste with some malt and dryness in the finish.

Cask Handpull at Muggletons, JDW, Maidstone. Gold/copper colour with thin bubbly off white head. Very perfumed aroma, rose petals and peach/apricot/nectarine fruit. Fine in mouth with some bitterness. Finish has more fresh stone fruit and hop bitterness. Simply bizarre. Good bitter with peach/apricot and nectarine flavours all over it.

Wetherspoon beer festival. Aroma is fresh and fruity with a disctinkive berry overpowering everything else. The taste is also of this berry which is overly sweet for the beer and makes finishing the pint a bit of an effort.

Cask Condiioned at The Hole in the Wall, Scarborough. Orange brown beer with bubbly head. This is a light aromatic, flowery beer, maybe somewhat grainy, but there are some sour offnotes that ruin the finish.
