Dec 3, 2005 Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Brown bronze with white head. Big malty beer with earthy fungal fruitiness and a sweetish toffee note. Plenty of nasal alcohol and a full hop finish. It’s good to see Theakston’s getting it together again.

Jan 23, 2004 Cask Conditioned. Bronze colour, good tight off white lasting head and fine condition. Heavy malt and caramel in the nose with some fruity raisin notes. More sweet caramel in the mouth with some fruitiness and a strange funky mushroom earthiness. Finish is sweet and malty with the alcohol becoming apparent.
