albertane (300), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Sep 28, 2008 Keg draught at the Lord Roberts, Nottingham. So dark brown it’s almost black, this ale had a creamy head and was very smooth on the palate. The flavour has hints of dark berries, coffee and chocolate, but these are too faint to be truly tasty. Magic_dave6 (4012), London, Greater London, England Sep 19, 2008 Cask at peterborough beer fest. Alround rating: Tart, chocolate malts, thin yet full? Very drinkable stuff exactly what i would want in a session beer. bobinlondon (220), Harrow, Greater London, England Jul 16, 2008 Handpulled cask at the Southern Cross, Watford in Dec 07. Dark brown with a modest off-white head. Malty with some coffee flavour, but in essence a light, smooth beer.
