At GBBF 2009. Amazed that I have never rated this before. Some caramel, some ok dark toffee. Inoffensive.

On handpull at GBBF ’09, dark brown with a large light beige head. A light but enjoyable malt aroma. A very light palate, nearly watery, but there is a smokiness to the malty flavour.

Cask@GBBF2009. Deep ambery brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is chocolate, nuts, roasted malts and mild coffeeish notes. Flavour is the same along with caramel, dark fruits and some mild notes of syrup.

Cask handpump at GBBF ’09. Described as ’Theakstons Traditional Mild’. Thanks to cgarvieuk for this one. Very dark brown with an off white head. Gentle malt aroma. Creamy taste with a little coffee and a little sourness. Very agreeable. Even acceptable.

Cask@GBBF 2009 as "Traditional Mild". According to Beermad different beer than 3.6% mild ("Mild ale" in Bm and listed as "dead") in the database. Dark nut brown, beige creamy head. Coffee-chocolate aroma. Light pear-grass-caramel flavor. Light coffee too.

Cask - Clear, deep reddy brown body with a fine, lasting beige head, leaving a slight lacing. Light roasted malt aromas with notes of berry, roasted malt and fruity, yeasty flavours. Soft mouthfeel, short bitterness with a dry coffee finish.

Cask at Penderels Oak. Looks great, clear and dark amber-black with a fine pale beige head. Little bit of malt on the nose, just a hint of chocolate too. Palate is roasty, a little sourness in the body and finish, quite light bodied for a dark beer. It gets tastier as you go on.
