| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 19, 2008 Dark brown, not quite opaque, with a one finger tan head. Aromas of coffee, nuts, biscuit, and a bit of caramel. Likewise with the taste, though the caramel sweetness came through a little more strongly. Medium body, a bit thin, nice bitterness lingered in the end. jeffwilliams11 (310), hooterville, Michigan, USA

Pours brown with half inch tan head. The aroma is weak and has the sense of thinly concocted cherry koolaid with some dustiness around the edges. I also get some licorice and faint roasted malts notes. The taste is thin and Porter like with some burnt malts and dark fruity esters. I also get twists coming from licorice, dates, raisins and a faint amount of pepper. Nice sessionable (for the style) tasting brew. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA

Nose of dark malts and spicy burnt wood. Robust without being overly muddy or nutty. Caramel and biscuit profile of many UK brews. Nice work! jbuzz (661), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
