Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Its initial sweetness is, apparently, "of roasted and vinous notes with a subtle bitter aftertaste". Strong fruitiness, often with "banana notes" standing out, is derived from Old Peculier’s fermentation process.

Red to brown in color with a pretty good head. Slight fruitiness in the aroma with some roastiness. Taste has some fruit with malts and sweetness. Medium body. Good overall beer.

Reddish-brown color with an average tan head. Aromas of toffee and fruit. Flavors are caramel, toffee and a slight chocolate taste. Medium bodied and very smooth.

Bottle. Pours a deep clear ruby-brown, with an off-white head that fades swiftly. Aroma of faint fruity malt and toffee. Fruity hints throughout the malt that washes over your tongue. Light in body, though not overly carbonated. Ends with a strange bitterness. Good, though hard to put a finger on some of the flavors.

Solid dark ale. Somewhat sweet with only a moderate bitterness. I really liked this one, but strong and malty enough that I wont drink more than a bottle in a sitting.

Dark brown in color. Not much head when poured properly, however it is golden brown in color. A roasted aroma with a hint of fruit predicts its taste of a sweet the slightly bitter beer.

Dark pour, but not black. Nice tan head to start, but it quickly diminished. Not much flavor to this if cold, but as it warms, more and more flavor comes out. Didn’t notice a bitter taste at all - maybe I’m immune. Slight taste of banana and molasses, smell of toffee, but oddly didn’t notice it. Great Ale.

Bottle at home. Dark brown colour. Nice head. Roasty caramel aroma. Toffee and chocolate flavour. Nice and dark, buttery and smooth. But also fruity, including bananas, and prickly. With a bitter aftertaste. Enjoyable.
