Commercial Description:
Bottled, Pasteurised;
First brewed in the Summer of 2004 to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of CAMRA and named after ’Paradise Field’, a piece of land on the outskirts of Masham, which contained a small orchard. The field, purchased by my great-great grandfather, Robert Theakston, was where he built the current Theakston Brewery in 1870. A full-bodied ale, using pale ale malt and an exotic blend of old and new world full hop flowers, including Cascade to give a light, lusciously fruity flavoured taste. Brewed using the finest quality natural ingredients and over 180 years of brewing wisdom.

Bottle . My first impression was this could be an interesting beer,That thought dissapeared as the pleasant slightly fruity flavour didn’t hang around for long. This promised but failed to deliver although saying that it isn’t a bad bitter just should have been better.

Aroma is floural with a decent amount of fruit off the malt some caramel having a wee say also. Taste is similar with some berry fruits coming through at times.

Bottle (500ml). Purchased at Waitrose. Pale, clear gold, tons of tiny little bubbles, smallish creamy-fizzy white head - this is supposed to remind me of a bitter? Sweet light malt aroma, floral hops. Taste - light sweet grain, just a hint of light roast, somewhat more pungent fresh hop character in the taste, very crisp - quite pleasant, actually. Light, crisp mouthfeel, tons of carbonation, incredibly quick finish, light fresh hay sweetness on the tongue afterward - pretty nice, but seems more of a Golden Ale to me.

500ml bottle from Waitrose, Bracknell. A bright amber colour with a creamy white head; semmed heavily carbonated when first poured but soon settled. Aroma of malt and perhaps a hint of apple; very light and fruity, without being watery. Moderately bitter finish. Pleasant, but unexceptional.

Bottle, a clear golden amber with a white frothy head. An enjoyable fruity aroma with plenty of juicy malt. A little astringent on the palate, dominanting what would otherwise be the juicy fruit flavours that you only glimpse in the first taste. Wanted more.

500 ml bottle. Hoppy and faintly floral aroma. Pours in a golden colour with a huge frothy white head. Well laced. Nicely balanced malt and hop flavours, some woody and nutty notes. Dry bitter finish.
