Dec 22, 2004 [Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] A hazy orange beer with a small beige head. The aroma is very fruity and flowery. The flavor is flowery with hints of caramel and a quite dry hoppy finish. The body is light.

Jan 20, 2005 Cask. Golden colour, white, creamy, semi-stable head. Aroma is fresh and slightly acidic. Flavour is also refreshing and acidic, but a little too sweet for my liking in this type of beer. Dry bitterness in aftertaste.

Dec 27, 2008 Cask handpull at Market Porter, London. Gold, thin beige head. Its a slightly earthy citrusy bitter. Earthy fruit. Actually pretty good.

Nov 2, 2006 A Mes rate: Cask at The Gatehouse JDW in Highgate. Mellow hop and creamy malt nose. Just very very faint. Lovely amber golden colour, shame about the head. Flavour is very similar to the nose but with a hint of caramel. A little too thin in the palate. Nothing offensive about it just not assertive enough. No real character

Sep 2, 2007 Cask conditioned at The Eyre Arms, Haslam, Derbyshire. Amber with white head. It looked great to me, 10 miles into a hike. Good bitterness, but a little thin in the body, certainly quite refreshing, no big flavours, but overall fairly standard best bitter.

Apr 29, 2007 Cask (handpump) at The Old Bell, Fleet Street, London. This is arguably the best pub in Fleet Street, with the chance of an interesting beer now and again. However, this was manifestly not in good condition. Lifeless and rather warm, indicating that this pint may have been sitting in the lines for a while, with a dull, flabby mouthfeel. The fact that its a quite soft and malty brew, with a fair amount of sweetness and only a hint of hop character didn’t help. Amber colour. Not a great experience but I’m sure it can be better. Most disturbingly, the famous ancient triangular stools in the Old Bell seem to be being gradually phased out in favour of normal round ones.

Sep 12, 2007 (Cask at Market Porter, Southwark, London, 11 Aug 2007) Amber colour with off-white head. Fruity nose with distinct notes of apricots and mandarin. Fruity taste with apricots, mandarin and floral hops in a fairly dryish finish. Tasty, drinkable, hardly exciting.
